Nice one, I've been over that bridge.

I've found The Swan Inn in Wylye! (no longer a pub)

amazing, very nice. What about the bus route on the 11th of september? any thoughts? (footage is about 11:44 min) or the Shell gas station on the road to Newquay?

I'll have a look at that. It's just a shame the footage is so fragmentary.

The following site is a good source, the 1937-61 OS mapping shows the roads as they were at the time, before all the town's were by-passed, and it helped me find The Swan.

I'm relying on YouTube but can't now find the footage containing the Shell station, anyone got a link?

Two different 'Shell's'. And two same Shell's from a different source. And is it possible that the 'drone' shot is taken from the flat seen in the footage ?

Many thanks, I hadn't seen some of that footage before.
I reckon all the shots from a high building are the same place on Uxbridge Road, Hayes (as per the daylight shot identified on reel streets). Probably a fill in shot after the main filming as it's definitely off-route.
Will have a look again tomorrow.

The White Shell garage is a tough one. Just before that there's a shot of what must be a clay mine dump (looks like a grey mountain), which are around St Austell.

Fl - You could be right about the shot from the 'flats'. I think the Uxbridge Road, Hayes footage must be from what is now the Hyatt Place West. They could have returned to London that way via the "wee Waif" pub in Charvil. Albeit they must have gone back to Hyatt place at a later date to take the shot - if you look at the daylight footage there's only a few people on one side of the coach trying to look animated.
