Thank you and how dare you call Ringo "little drummer boy" sounding! But seriously, the entire starting point of this exercise was replacing the drum sound with something more traditionally Ringo. It sounds like you're having a hard time letting go of the massively produced Lynne snare? At first, I did too. But it's quite literally (one of) the point(s)!alphabeatles wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2024 6:46 am Great work and nice take on this song!
For my copies I chopped off the "little drummer boy"-sounding snare hits at the intro.

Thanks for the reup! I'd also like to hear the same, but with original drums.
Searching hard for missing Silent Hills, Non Plus Ultra, WWII, Xavel, Shakuntala sets, fresh Misterclaudel/Valkyrie/Piccadilly.
Also searching hard for FAB CD / DVD releases (solo ones are priority). Ready to trade FAB DVDs with those who trades.

I think the audience here leans more toward wanting to hear an improved vocal rather than a mashup. I'll listen to a mashup if it's good but it's not something I would put on a rotation or even save.
Just saying...

Sounded over-processed (too heavily gated) is all.

Sure I'll do that when I get a chance. By the way, in this version Ringo is playing the tambourine with the hi-hat, which makes it bit more sprightly IMO.

Ah I see. Yeah there's a gate. The unprocessed Come Together Take 5 (which is flat whereas the master has some processing) 1969 drums didn't sit comfortably with the 1995 instruments IMO, so I beefed up the snare a bit. Still nowhere near the big Lynne sound.
I also added some low end (to the snare).
