I created this remaster of Paul McCartney's Backyard Tapes to offer a more complete listening experience. The upcoming release of One Hand Clapping will include a bonus 7" EP, though it will be limited.
To create the 2024 remaster, I used MVSEP to separate the vocals and guitar, removing the "wobbly" stereo effect likely caused by analog tape generation loss. I matched the stereo placement closely with "Country Dreamer" from the Band On The Run 2010 remaster.
Most of the remaster is based on old bootleg recordings, except for tracks sourced from official releases. I applied AI enhancements to the bootleg tracks, which suffered from unstable stereo, and the McCartney Years DVD tracks, which were originally in mono. The officially released "Country Dreamer" and "Great Day" tracks remain untouched. I used "Country Dreamer" as a reference for stereo placement to ensure consistency.
This project is more of a remaster than a fan-made remix. Although AI was used for enhancements, I avoided creative liberties and focused on replicating the official presentation of the material.
