Artifacts Volume IV

Post by beatlesbelmo »

It has been 30 years since Artifacts was released and was soon followed by two more volumes. Happily, someone upgraded these recently.
Lately an idea has been rolling around in my head - what if our group put together a new version of Artifacts but with rare and unique tracks that have come to light in the past thirty years? The set could be 4 or 5 or even 6 CDs worth of music.
Some of the tracks could be those that Lord Reith has remixed of BBC, Stowe, Hamburg, the audition tapes and more. And we could do the same with the solo Beatles output - one cd per member.
I'd like to hear your thoughts on this - positive and negative.
I think it would be a fun project and everyone in the group who is interested could contribute. And if one of you would want to organize the compilations, that would be great. There are many skilled and knowledgeable collectors here and I believe it would be something very special.
Yours,
Belmo

I would prefer some kind of

Artifacts 1-3. Expanded Edition

The set with some extra stuff and upgraded sources of previously released tracks.

1-3 has already been upgraded, as mentioned in the original post.

The last time it was upgraded was 12 years ago. The way better sources are available now.

Like I said, not just updated songs, but with new stuff added.

compiling "best of" cd's from what we've already downloaded from here and uploading 'em on here to download one more time in different tracks order & different cover art. :P
might be kinda useful ? (for bootleg labels in japan)
