Yellow Matter Custard / Purple Matter Custard (stereo)
Someone asked for the slideshow soundtrack on a separate cd, so here it is.
If any Beatleg was ever deserving of an official release it had to be this one, the grandaddy of all BBC Beatlegs. John Lennon thought so highly of it that he sent a copy to Paul, George and Ringo and wanted it put out. Of course, he thought it was the Decca tape which probably threw a spanner in the works as Decca didn't even have a copy of the audition, and they certainly didn't have a copy of this!
So here is how this might have sounded if it were recorded at EMI and released in the middle of 1963. Also thrown in is a bonus EP.

UPDATE: there is now a followup volume called Purple Matter Custard...

Apologies to those who grabbed it straight away for the crazy echo. The link is updated with the correct version now.

Re: Yellow Matter Custard (stereo)
Wonderful work as always!
When I hear such separations I am curious as to how a more balanced mix would sound.
This sample of Crying, Waiting, Hoping from this set was done in Audacity by duplicating the L (backing music) channel into 2, manually offsetting one slightly and panning L/R, and centering the vocals. One normal volume mix, one compressed:
