This is really great. I think, as much as clearly impressive work can be accomplished with ML tools, I never really considered "unfolded/demixed/extracted" stuff could be my go-to for listening.
But this approach allows you to keep the general vintage sound intact (EQ, edits, compression ect.) while centering the vocals and making the general stereo image more pleasant. It's just like if they had done things a little differently in 1965. Really fantastic work.

Thanks, you have described my approach exactly. No need to re-create the wheel, just some tweaking to enhance the original mix.
