Have you ever done a remix of I Should Have Known Better that is single tracked vocals? The double tracking wacky differences always sounds so out of phase

No, but someone is welcome to post one.
John was definitely not the best at manually double-tracking his vocal.
George was the best at double-tracking with Paul close behind.
Paul had the extra skill of being able to overdub in different voices and pitches and create a unique composite vocal sound. See "Can't Buy Me Love" and "The Night Before". He would do a sweet voice and a gruff/throaty voice.
Their double-tracking annoyed Ray Davies of the Kinks who I guess felt it was cheating. Maybe if Ray had did more double-tracking and wrote less songs about English society and more actual rock songs this forum would be forum.kinksdb instead.

AHDN has a slight change in the title track. I brought the drums and guitars up a bit with a little more mid-range to more match the mono mix. The intro is a bit louder also.
