Now and Then with the missing bridge

On another forum, a fake Apple boot CD was posted with the original "Now and Then" release, plus another mix with the bridge we heard on the demo included. That bridge was cut out of the released "last Beatles song." I don't know the source of this mix but it sure sounds as though it could have been originally edited this way. If it's a fan mix it's an excellent one! The only problem with the alternate version was the very last seconds were cut off. I restored them, and edited back in Paul's count in. What's the verdict??

Sometime ago, A youtube user posted a video with the extended version -with the missing bridge of course- but without the count in and without any restoration. Fortunately I couldn't download it because Youtube shut down the video, many thanks.

this is beautiful stuff thanks - i think on reflection they were right to omit the bridge - but its close call - maybe they could have had a bridge where john just repeats the "i dont wanna lose you" line a couple of time (with strings replacing the "my little doll" part). And then "but if you have to go away, you have to know" folowed again by stings or instrumentation replacing "doo-la-doodle-la-do") and then back to "now and then..")

Anyway, I've sent Mr McCartney a text of the above, no response as yet but expect to hear a new version of Now & Then, mirroring my suggestion, when they re-release the anthologies next year
