And on January 01, 1963...
The loudest silence EVER emanated from the Star Club!<------(maybe it was noticeable!)
The Legendary! The Mythic!
The shrewder the better!
If there is really a Santa Claus
then Ted Taylor probably has a couple of Preludin tabs saved for the 24th or the 31st!
Jackson seems like a fairly grounded path of least resistance!
Everyone is an expert! But there is only one WReith...hang the garland!
High, hi, HIGH
This is a man who did the WORK for the benefit of History!
Who ever rides it home
has a huge debt to pay!
I hope he gets the credit!
Peter Jackson knows who I support!
Jackson will include the whole of the essence!
I am excited!
Thank you for this December 1st, LR!
Peace on Reeperbahn and the World over!~
KC
I'll take a mirror, a mortar and pestle, a tin of Prellies and a pint of Bitter!

Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Thank you. This is the greatest sounding version by far of the most significant recording of the pre-fame Beatles. A band with a minor, somewhat regional hit doing the incendiary club act that brought them this far. They would never be this band again.
This is a rough edged stage act. So much so that, even if Peter Jackson could make it sound like it was recorded today on modern equipment, any released version would have to be edited. Shitty. Sig Heil. Negroes. This is a rough edged act in the days when people took things like that with a shrug. I'm not arguing for any era over another, just saying that this recording from 1962 could not be released as is in 2024 without causing problems for the beloved Beatles brand.
A long winded way of saying, thank you, Lord Reith. This will be played many many times in my house.
