With the file being 9GB in size did they compress it down to make a DVD out of it, or has someone made a blu ray from this file?Gringo557 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2023 3:01 pm I thought somebody here in this forum did a nice redo of Let It Be. Let me dig it up . . .

If I'm not mistaken, Peter Jackson in his recent 3-hour podcast mentioned that they did do a restoration of Let It Be and he also recorded a commentary with Michael Lindsey Hogg. I wonder how long that will sit in a can on a shelf . . .

This would be my dream. What makes you think Apple is keen to release it still? I thought it would have made a perfect companion for the Get Back release or as an extra feature contained within.

Re: Inquires about LET IT BE (1970)
Peter Jackson says he's done a commentary with Hogg and everybody has signed off on the bluray. So there's no longer anything stopping it from coming out. That's why I reckon it'll be next year. The good thing is that since it wouldn't be a Disney release they can include a disc of extras.
I'd say it'll almost certainly be cropped to 16:9 like the theatrical release though. But we shall see.
Indeed I did. But they showed it in '79 as well, so i was half right.
