I listened to "Roughest Visits" last week again for the first time in ages and was surprised how good, relatively speaking, the Montreal show was. In my mind, I remembered it as being pathetically bad, but it wasn't that bad at all.
Yeah its totally listenable, nowhere as bad as say Seattle 64, which is just audience! Despite having some of the best "most professional" photos of any 64 show

Maybe there are different types of audience recordings, like they're not all equal, some might be from lucky fans, and some might be journalists, like I've heard from a insider that Red Rocks 64, a journalist audience recording, sounds good

Since nobody would ever suggest anything deceitful...we might consider the need for pre-recorded songs.
Is there any software to compare and contrast two LIVE recordings?
When Jimmy Nichol had gone with them on June 5, 1964...I thought the rowdiness was in response to a poorly mimed backing track and the open mics weren't hot. I would have toured the U.S. with prerecorded tape and stunt doubles. Nobody would have even cared. Mayhem American style! A Beatle could grow old and injured like this.
Thanks! It's not heresy...it's the U.S.

Has anyone attempted or is thinking of applying this technology to clean up the Candlestick tapes? The stick tape is probably by far the best sounding audience tape we have of the Beatles (thanks to the nearest fan being over 50 yards away from the hand held microphone).
I would imagine there might be a way to further lift the vocals and some of the instruments in the mix?
Thanks!
Paul
Speaking of nice audeince recordings, Vancouver is pretty good too, especially the new gen upgrade shown off in Eight Days A Week. (I think its an audience recording at least? Heard it was place below the stage?)

I hope Lord Reith gets around to working on Candlestick someday, he is the king! maybe combining together a bit of Munich/Japans with Candlestick?
whats nice Vancouver we have the broadcast version the uncut tape from Studio with them talking and audio and video from news crews

Nah…not wrong…just a different source…although the radio broadcast is an audience recording
Vancouver is a soundboard or line recording it is not an audience recording....if it was you would not hear much!

thought be recorded by reported is what i have heard

Here is a re-upload of the reconstruction I made of the available Candlestick park film, around 2 years ago: hxxps://mega.nz/file/VvRxRCAB#7u4oEBUO0 ... Q7vsx6szkw
