Here's a link for tracks 4, 6 and 7 from disc one. If these are any better then I'll upload what I can of the other rogue files from this set*. As I've been unable to rip 8, 9 and 20 from the first disc due to errors then there could be underlying issues with all of them. It's maybe not too much of a surprise as I have other releases from this label and it's not uncommon for there to be faults ranging from skipping to soot being pressed under the playing surface.

Horse To The Water - Ultimate Anthology 1991-2001
Re: Horse To The Water - Ultimate Anthology 1991-2001
Here's the files from the other discs; I've only given them a cursory listen so I don't know how the errors pan out but the missing This Guitar tracks from D2 are present:
D2: hoops://we.tl/t-zNnxAZRtLr
D3: hoops://we.tl/t-Ov9YKGCFjE
D4: hoops://we.tl/t-ydnebV0h1c
I've also listened to the tracks from D1 that I couldn't rip and they play through perfectly so I'm not sure what the issue is there.

So trying to fix glitches, new ones get unintentionally introduced. Ripping with offset correction would avoid this.Track06 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 4:14 pm When frankensteining relases to get them complete, there's more to consider than just adding or replacing files with seemingly fitting ones. I consider this a lost cause anyway. Obviously not much effort has been made to use best sources. Lossless didn't seem to be worth tracking down.
Many glitches identified by DarkDante are identical on Fast lucky's and bumblebee's files so there are probably lots of problems inherent to the master/source material. Secure ripping (possibly) or using AccurateRip/CuetoolsDB (quite certainly) would reveal this without needing manual comparisons.
Track 20 on disc 1, included again 'due to a faulty disc' (were it belongs chronologically) still doesn't rip without major problems.
Anyway the track listings of these could possibly used as a guide to what's out there in case someone would like to compile an anthology of George's work.
EDIT: P.S.: CD (audio) is not designed to report uncorrectable errors but to conceal them, so playback would be sounding OK. Making perfect copies was not part of the concept and is much trickier than copying other optical discs like CD-ROM, DVD and successors.

For this set I'm wondering if someone can reup the entire set with the corrected tracks replacing the bad ones and notes about which files still have errors?
