Nowhere Man - REUP - Improved W More Guitar
Reup with more guitar by request.
So as compared to the 2023 stereo remix this mix has:
*No hihat issue
*Wider vocals with a bit of reverb which is there on the Atmos mix / no "phasey" sound
I've deleted the previous remix because this one is better.
The center guitar was de-mixed from the center vocal so as to up the guitar whilst maintaining the wider vocals of the previous mix.

Re: Nowhere Man - Remix
I can't believe how it passed any quality control.
This is how the stereo mix should have been! Excellent work.

Re: Nowhere Man - Remix
One thing I immediately noticed in this ATMOS is the bass guitar is pulled part. The higher acoustic tones are in the middle and the actual bass frequencies are panned far right.
Listen for the woody moaning sound in the middle that is Paul's Hofner bass.

Re: Nowhere Man - Remix
Something to keep in mind is that to hear an Atmos mix as intended you need to be listening in Atmos, even if it's on stereo headphones. A downmix of Atmos files without Atmos isn't necessarily going to sound as designed, because (very most likely) the spatial audio description metadata isn't being utilized. If you listen in Atmos on streaming you'll oftentimes hear differences from any downmix (for example the drums might move further to the center). And this particular version isn't even a "straight" downmix. I've deliberately downplayed the vocals in the center in order to hear them fully panned left and right. That may or may not have something to do with it!Engonoceras wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 1:21 pm One thing I immediately noticed in this ATMOS is the bass guitar is pulled part. Re: Nowhere Man - Remix
Really liked this remix. The reverb is ok with me. Only thing would do different is raise the volume of the lead guitar.theboxinargentina wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2023 1:58 pm This is a remix of Nowhere Man from the Atmos, so there shouldn't be the hihat issue.
I didn't add the reverb - it's there on the Atmos - yet the stereo is dry as a bone.
That's it for me this week!

I'll redo it when I get a chance and re-up it here.
Thanks for the feedback.
