Re: THE DECCA DILEMMA
Great job LR, you've certainly given us a different perspective on the tracks. Would sure like to hear the rest of them. Much appreciate what's you've done. I like that, as always, you never go overboard with things, just make subtle changes to improve the listening experience. I also like that you have stuck with mono, as that's how we first heard them and can compare your new tracks with those recordings. I'm sure you or others will later do a stereo remix.Lord Reith wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 9:56 am These are some mono demixes I have done of six Decca tracks, scraping away some of the mud and grime in an attempt to make them sound more like the kind of recordings they made for the BBC. Hope you like it (and if so, I will do more!)

Re: THE DECCA DILEMMA (Vol.2)
Thanks, with all this great demixing technology we have these days would it be possible to even out the tempo of Pete's drumming on "Till There Was You" without Paul's voice speeding up and slowing down in random places in the song?Lord Reith wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2023 10:49 am Okay then, here is Part Two...

Re: THE DECCA DILEMMA (Vols. 1 & 2)
I love the sound of these. There are only 12 tracks. I thought there were 15 tracks on the tape. Am I missing something?
Re: THE DECCA DILEMMA (Vols. 1 & 2)
Yes. Money, Sheik of Araby, and Three Cool Cats. (But possibly still works in progress)
I'm glad the three Lennon/McCartney originals are all present and correct. They were holy grail status for me, for many years, since the semi-legit releases of these tapes always omitted them
