This is a completely new remix of Real Love I've done:

It differs from the older ones I did in that - aside from vastly improved sound quality - I've used the double tracked take that was used in 1995 (previously I used a different take). However this demo has been demixed to split apart the two voices and piano and rebalance them. This was then added to the Threetles backing slowed down to match John's original key and tempo. I then added the kind of vocal sound that John tended to like, which was difficult if not impossible before. I've also got John's piano strung prominently throughout and it sounds quite nice even though it's a bit out of tune (which is not really much different to all the flanging they did in 1967).

Anyway, I hope you like it. Whenever I do something like this I imagine John leaning over my shoulder with a critical eye, so i hope he would have liked it too!

It's a good thing that you have not used the same piano take than for the Threetles. John's vocals and the piano intro was way better on some previous takes (early) of Real Love. The fact that it was further take does not mean that was the best one (for instance Free As A Bird take 1 is way better in terms of vocals and piano than the take 3).
