Info from 'Eight Arms To Hold You' by Chip Madinger and Mark Easter:

"Now that he had helped Ringo attempt to resuscitate his recording career, it was time for Paul to figure out the next move of his own. With the (apparent) help of Denny Laine on some of the songs, he laid down several demos for a projected new LP project that would reunite him with George Martin. An August 1980 compilation of demos prepared for George consisted of old and new material for consideration for the upcoming LP project. The running order of the tape was as follows: 'Seems Like Old Times', 'Ballroom Dancing', 'Take It Away', 'Turkey And Peacock' (perhaps an early version of 'Peacocks'), 'It's As Simple As That (Tremolo Cello)'. 'Robber Riff', 'We All Stand Together', 'Stiff Tracks' (most likely 'Boil Crisis' and 'Give Us A Chord, Roy' which were very much like the tunes being released by Stiff Records at the time), 'Keep Under Cover', 'Average Person', 'Unbelievable Experience', 'Stop, You Don't Know Where She Came From', 'Wanderlust' and 'Ebony And Ivory'. While some of the songs ('Take It Away', 'Ballroom Dancing') were particulary strong, some of the tunes Paul submitted ('The Unbelievable Experience', 'Boil Crisis') were bad enough to force George to tell Paul to scrap them and write more; this he did. However, in 1987, an excellent quality tape of some of this material was released on bootleg as 'Rude Studio Demos' (a CD version was issued in 1989 from the same tape). In 1995, excerpts of several of the tracks were aired on various episodes of 'Oobu Joobu', and although they were in superior quality to the bootlegged versions, all of the airings were incomplete."

MY (humanoidboogie) NOTES:

All tracks have been speed-corrected and EQ'd to match the pristine excerpts broadcast on 'Oobu Joobu'.
All tracks had reversed stereo channels compared to the stuff heard on 'Oobu Joobu', so that was taken care of.
No noise reduction was used, so, yes, there IS hiss present. I would rate the sound as "A-/A". A good alternate title for the track 'Boil Crisis' would be 'Give Us A WORKING Guitar Chord, Paul!'. I spent lots of time removing all the tiny crackles from his faulty guitar chord... Phew. I couldn't remove all of it, though, but most of it is gone. None of this material has appeared on official releases, by the way. There's some great stuff on this set, and I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do!

SOURCES:

'Rude Studio Demos' (Columbus Records, CD080, 1989)
'Oobu Joobu' (Yellow Cat, 1995)

All original sources ripped securely with EAC from original silver discs.

ENJOY!

Thank you a lot!
Scan say this is vol.1, are there more?
p.s.Fog is made from dog by smearing.
Searching hard for missing Silent Hills, Non Plus Ultra, WWII, Xavel, Shakuntala sets, fresh Misterclaudel/Valkyrie/Piccadilly.
Also searching hard for FAB CD / DVD releases (solo ones are priority). Ready to trade FAB DVDs with those who trades.

I love what he did with the "Yellow Dog" label. I don't believe there was a Vol. 2 but I'm not sure. If there were additional volumes they'd be greatly appreciated. This CD has a great sound!

Thanks cliftdean74, don't know if there are more volumes as this is the only one I have (but as it's named Vol 1 there should be at least one more) :) Robert

There must be moments of both purity and primal practicality consolidated into something exemplary and cutting edge...at least, that's what any genre should define in its finished form. If one doesn't commence thusly, then meaning can become ambiguous or vague...but, NOT HERE!!! Of course I'm speaking of the period piece, Boil Crisis...a punk rock prophecy which stays on the line and wears a chromed safety pin through its cheeky lyric. Prick the blighter. Saliva not included...
But, first...let me soften you up with some good news.
PUNK died hard and more's the pity.
Nobody eats broken glass anymore...but, there is a second version of Boil Crisis out there.
Cut its head off...MORE bass!
Thank you, cliftdean74 !
