During preparation for The Beatles Anthology, Paul McCartney bought the negative

the film's director Patrick Montgomery, is why it is not available on DVD or any newer
formats and "probably never will be."

Re: The Compleat Beatles Remastered Edition DVD (1994 LaserDisc)
Thank you cliftdean74 for transferring and sharing your Laserdiscs. They make such better transfers than the VHS equivalents of the same releases. It's also nice that you had the remastered Laserdisc version of this. I had both version Laserdiscs, and the original issue was noticeably worse than this, even though the quality of some of these clips the producers used are still pretty rough compared to what is available years after this was made. It's an historic document though, and this version Laserdisc is the best it will ever be unless someone recuts it themselves with updated video clips.
General note to everyone -- use the Google Chrome browser to download -- you won't get that message about not being able to download because there have been too many people access the file and try again later.

Thank you! I grew up and learned about the Beatles through watching this video over and over again. Bought the VHS when it was released - it was the one in the larger box with a gatefold cover. Dolby 2.0 was hot back then - and you know after playing this I can still hear enough separation on my surround system! I think I wore that tape out. Later on for my collection, I bought sealed copies of the 1st VHS release, Laserdisc release, and might have to check as I think I might have a sealed Beta release, too, but I might be thinking about Let It Be.
For years I have watched a downloaded DVD transfer from VHS, but your's definitely has a better picture quality. It sucks this release was put out of print ...yet as you know some beginner folks may not want to watch Anthology due to it's length (and note it has no Bluray release). This 2 hour presentation is just perfect! Love Malcolm McDowell's narration, too. I know it's considered obsolete by some, but it was made long after the breakup and still tells a complete story.
oh well!
thanks for sharing!

Thanks for these great shares. This another one I haven't watched for ages, only having the VHS.
