With Hey Jude I've always felt the takes are misnumbered, meaning I think take 3 is actually take 2 and 2 actually 3. Here's my logic. Take 1 John misses his cue to come in on harmony, Paul looks at him and John shrugs like "sorry." What is labeled take 3 John comes in at the right time and Paul gives him a big smile. In what are labeled takes 1 and 3 there's a trio of gals sort of in front of Ringo and to the right. They are a gal with lots of blonde hair, one with big hair and a short bright yellow dress, and one in green. The woman in yellow is absent from what's labeled take 2. I somewhere read an interview with her and I think she said she missed being there for the 3rd take. So if you follow my logic I think the order of the takes should be reordered.

There's a hmc dvd where they have the slates at the start with the take numbers so perhaps someone can take a look and check?
