Hi everyone,
I didn't know where to post that one. This compilation was available with a French book on the topic of the band and its relationships with France (amazon.com). This book, only available in French unfortunately, became the reference on the topic going way beyond any other books. Research, seriousness and more research.

Sorry but I'm French and I have this book.
It's a nice "pictures" book but the author made a lot of mistakes.

Your rip is faulty at the start of track 1.
I attach a repaired version (patched from an alternative source) for anyone to substitute for track 1 in the full download...

Thanks very much ianbuckers !
I ripped it using foobar and it often does this, I wonder what could be the issue here.
Many thanks again to you.

Get EAC to rip your CDs. Slower but accurate and if it detects issues it tells you.

Just to add some info to this, not all artists are from France.
Some of them are Québécois from the Province of Québec (Canada). They are on Tracks 1, 3, 6, 7, 9 and 12.
Les Baronets (track 3) had a few hits with Beatles covers that were actually big hits here, a lot more than this unknown track to me. Their biggest hits was "C'est fou mais c'est tout" (aka Hold Me Tight) and "Ça recommence" (aka It Won't Be Long). But they also had "Twist et Chante" (aka Twist And Shout) and a few others. Their leader was René Angélil, best known as Céline Dion's husband and manager.
Incidentally the exact title of track 4 is "Si Tu Fais Ça (You Can't Do That)" (never heard anything on this band before).
