Re: Get Back - Master from Andrea
Two threads, two different 'real or Andrea' Get Back masters, yet the same file download?

Maybe you could read the discjapan link that FastLucky provided?
I haven't checked out the V&M tagged versions yet (thanks, btw, V&M!) but the FastLucky files are definitely different from one another.Darth Kybiel wrote: ↑Mon Feb 21, 2022 4:31 pm Two threads, two different 'real or Andrea' Get Back masters, yet the same file download?

Re: Get Back - Master from Andrea
The files should not be the same. I did everything in a hurry and did not check. Did I make a mistake ? Let me know...
Andrea was a shop owner (Vicki's Vinyl) connected with Wizardo. She proposed boots to a japanese wholesaler but even though her Get Back boot was top quality in sound, he declined her offer because it had a pasted cover and not a colour cover. It remained unreleased until her boot served as the base for this CD. The otherone is claimed to be the longest available version and is based on a back-up master sent to the USA and comleted with an acetate where necessary. Both albums are based on the 28 May 1969 Glyn Johns mix. The claimed goal was to produce the best sounding 1969 Get Back album using the original mix.

Re: Get Back - Master from Andrea
I was thinking about this yesterday-- with all the hundreds of different boot pressings of the "GET BACK" acetate over the years (and in all its mix permutations), GET BACK has to be the most listened to-- and repackaged-- boot ever.
