I think many people are not able to do scans of LP sleeves, even with good stitching software the results can be difficult to correct but almost everyone has an HQ digital camera, on their mobile/cell and it is fairly easy to use perspective control software in a graphic package to square the image. Labels are a little harder, I still haven't found an automatic way of correcting the perspective for a circle. I tend to photograph any records on a square sheet so I can use that for corrections and don't even get me started on trying to photograph vinyl matrices.
