Re: What is considered to be the 1st Beatles bootleg?
Some people believe OPD (ofically presumed dead), was the first bootleg from the get Back acetate. Copies command high prices.

Re: Demographics of the forum
This seems to be a predominantly old white men's club. Where are the women who couldn't stay in their seats at the concerts? They are on social media. Web forums are the domain of old white guys who first got on the internet 20 or 30 years ago. The girls all love facebook, twitter, all that rubbish...

Re: General Pepper's Friday Vintage Beatleg Emporium
Indeed. And when I was there in November, I found the couple of Beatles shops in and around Matthew Street felt rundown, with minimal interesting stock. Post covid effects? GP I used to work at Probe records on an adhoc basis this was on the corner of Button Street just off Mathew Street. Happy mem...

Paperback Writer acetate
In the spirit of TFI I thought I would repay the generosity of so many people and post this little item. I owned this many years ago and before I ended my custodianshop I took a tape copy. This tape recently surfaced after it disappeared into a box during a house move. To my tainted ears it sounds l...

Re: George's house gets blue plaque
On the contrary, I hope we have to wait a long time for a Ringo plaque - houses are only eligible for blue plaques once the person has been dead at least 20 years. Thank you for pointing that out. Now I must admit I wasn't aware of the 20 years dead rule. That should be recinded in favour for a out...

Re: General Pepper's Friday Vintage Beatleg Emporium
When I last lived in the 'The Pool' I used to get a lot of good things and I really enjoyed the thrill of the hunt. Now stick the word Beatles on it and it is immediatly overcharged. Such is life.

Re: General Pepper's Friday Vintage Beatleg Emporium
Thank you SP, nothing better than a chilled out Friday instead of working. Have a good day and thank you for the early morning post. My partner is going back to 'The Pool' today so she may suprise me and bring back a goodie.
