21 Century Gold Disc?
In the early days of CD's when the first 4 Beatles discs were released in mono, the only place for a brief time where you could find any stereo mixes from the first 4, was a series of Promo discs from 21 Century Gold Discs. I am trying to remember which songs were in stereo but I think one was "And I Love Her" and "Can't Buy Me Love", possibly others. They also released "Day Tripper" with out the dropouts. The discs were ads for either gold discs or "No Noise". There were maybe 3 or 4 of these discs which had these mixes. Anyone have these or have any more info on these discs? Thanks in advance.

Yes, 21st Century (seems correct) was a company that prepared stuff on CD for radio stations INCLUDING early Beatles in stereo. I know this because I actually called our local oldies radio station and asked what their source was because they were playing early Beatles in stereo. I believe the company prepared digital masters using good vinyl. This would have been after radio stations switched to CD.billychildish wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 1:12 am In the early days of CD's when the first 4 Beatles discs were released in mono, the only place for a brief time where you could find any stereo mixes from the first 4, was a series of Promo discs from 21 Century Gold Discs. Century 21 Productions and TM Productions were both companies that provided jingles, production libraries, syndicated programing, etc., to radio stations. The companies merged about 1990 and became TM Century Productions. The original GoldDiscs were a Century 21 Productions subscription product and after the merger discs displayed the TM Century logo.
