Not only king but master of the mellotron. Saw The Moody Blues live in Montreal in 1973 and was lucky to be seated on Pinder's side and see him work. Awesome even thoufgh the sound at the Montréal Forum was terrible.

Shawn Phillips who used to befriend them when he was living in London had good words for Pinder when I was Shawn's accountant in Montréal.

The average fan doesn’t realize just how many songs he wrote and sang on those early LPs…I always thought it was a shame that he ever reunited with the others…The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction was quite awkward I thought

I've always believed Pinder to be on the wrong planet.
Had the Moodies never been a musical group, Pinder would have been more contemporary than 1/5.
In truth, he was a shark who spoke fluent Ramora!
He can't stop swimming...they only have to hang on!
