Mind Games EP : April 20 - (box set for July)

Managed to grab this and the two GH releases - absolutely fantastic, the mixes of Mind Games and Aisumasen (alongside the outtakes) sound incredibly punchy and sharp. The version of I'm The Greatest is mixed the same way, but the recording itself is nothing to write home about. The version of You Are Here perhaps drags a little bit but is very interesting to hear as guitar and keyboard gets added slowly and subtly.

no digital....and a needle drop wouldnt be allowed here since its an official release. i daresay itll be upped elsewhere though

It's on several needledrop sites, but all the links lead to the same "premium" Dwonloading site, at 19$ a month. No pixel drain, mega, or weT here. I've just fogottten about it, we'll soon have the entire deluxe edition in a couple of months. IF the vinyl means a lot to you, it's still easily availailable, so I'm guessing it didn't sell well. THe RSD exclusives, are just that, then whatever is left is put on general sale.

Hi Guys
This topic interest me greatly, because some of you may possibly know that I remixed a version of the LP “Mind Games” in 2021 and shared it here on the forum, albeit it was probably on the “old” site
I have listened to the new EP 2024 and in particular:
1- Mind Games (Ultimate Mix)
2- Aisumasen (I’m Sorry) (Ultimate Mix) and
3- You Are Here (Out-take, Take 5)

This is just my own personal opinion, but I could not discern any notable improvement on tracks 1 and 2 and I also decided to remix the newer extended version of “You are Here” which runs about 10:54 compared to the 4:09 on the original Mind Games L.P

With that in mind, I have reupped just these two tracks again (1&2) my version -plus the newer You are Here for anyone that is interested.

It will be interesting to see what they have done to the full “Mind Games” updated version- but I am not holding out too much hope given what I have already heard

As I said this is just my own personal observation and playing all tracks through a dedicated HI-Fi stereo system with decent B&W loudspeakers as opposed to headphones etc....
