Which Beatles recording would you leave to posterity?

Another Steve Hoffman-inspired thread...

The situation: a planet-sized chunk of star matter has been blown out of the sun and is heading straight towards earth. Human civilisation as we know it will be largely extinguished in a few hours. You have been asked to select a single Beatles track to be included alongside other important cultural artifacts in a time capsule to be buried fifteen miles beneath the earth's surface.

So, what's your choice? It can include unreleased tracks.

It should not necessarily be your favourite track, it should be the one you think would be most likely to mean something to a future generation of human survivors who know nothing of The Beatles.

It's a tough choice, but I think I would have to choose Love Me Do.

No, that was a joke. Sorry, I meant Strawberry Fields Forever take 7.

This track captures perfectly for me what this strange suit of lies we call Life is. Even if you've never seen a strawberry before.

A Day in the Life, for the lyrics, for the fact that it's a John and Paul amalgam, and for the video, if that could be included as well.

Obviously If You've Got Troub....I mean A Day In The Life. Everything robbmacc said but have to mention the 'aaahhs' after Paul's bit which still give me goosebumps everytime I hear it. And don't forget the ending which leaves you thinking 'what the hell just happened?'

Same as everyone else, A Day In The Life, but if I could bury a solo song, Temporary Secretary!

Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End.

If that doesn't count as a single track, then I'll just leave The End ("Love you take=love you make" says it all and must be preserved at all costs)!

Yeah I can remember the first time I heard that in my bedroom. Bewilderment as the crescendo rose and then left speechless by that final chord.

I'd also choose Strawberry Fields Forever. It amazed me when i was 13 and still does. More so recently that I've been going into Donald Hoffman theories. Thanks for all your hard work Lord Reith!!!!
