Just noticed on the "yellow submarine songtrack" that it fades out at the end of "sgt pepper" and then fades in on "with a little help from my friends".
which is a shame as the 5.1 mix on these 2 are much better than the ones on the sgt pepper dts...oh well, other than that it seems just about perfect

Just installed foobar20000 and the DTS component. Seems to be working a treat!!!!!!
Thank you very much for the steer. I'm sure VLC previously coped with DTS/5.1 but not for these 5.1 versions.
Over to foobar now.
