From The McCartney legacy:

No Words:

Wings’ rehearsals had their ups and downs, as rehearsals do. But from McCullough’s point of view, a lot of it was the ‘My Love’ session all over again, except without Paul relenting and letting him try out his own ideas. During a rehearsal of ‘No Words,’ on August 14, Paul was intent on Henry playing the solo he had mapped out. Henry had an idea of his own that he wanted to try, but Paul was not having it.
---------
The Laine-McCartney collaboration, ‘No Words,’ was taken up gingerly; this was the backdrop of Henry McCullough’s final confrontation with Paul, after all, and it had not been rehearsed since then. Paul got behind the drums, Denny played the rhythm guitar part on an electric guitar with a wah-wah pedal, and Linda played the electric piano, to complete the basic track. Paul and Denny then undertook a series of electric guitar overdubs, Denny on slide.

Helen Wheels:

Paul closed out the first week of recording with ‘Helen Wheels,’ his play on words (“hell on wheels”) song about his Land Rover. This had a special complication: it was a shuffle, a beat style that tested the limits of Paul’s drumming skills. But he found a way: with Linda acting as a human metronome, calling out “1-2-3-4” (in the final mix, she can be heard toward the end of the song) and also playing cowbell, Paul played the triplets on a cymbal, while Denny Laine hit the bass drum. The overdubs included two more tracks of electric guitar (played by Paul and Denny in tandem), Linda creating synthesizer swells, and Paul’s lead vocal. A bounce-down of the drum tracks freed up a track for the backing vocals.

1985:
On Wednesday, it was back to overdubbing. ‘Piano Thing’ was revisited, with Paul replacing his rough vocal, and Linda and Denny contributing the backing and harmony vocals. Paul’s bass line and a wiry guitar solo from Denny finished Wings’ contributions to the track
