Here's It Won't Be Long with split vocals. I've wondered my entire life what George and Paul are mumbling in the background during the bridge. And now, fab Listeners, the truth can be told!

Thanks for this ! I've always been fascinated by backing vocals in this song, they seem so intricate and complex, especially for a 1963 track.

Yes, there's a marked similarity to the backing vocals in Help! and Paul is on record as saying he came up with those parts (for Help). So it's highly likely the counterpoint in IWBL is Paul's doing too, since that sort of stuff never occurred to John. A reminder of why Macca was really John's other musical half.

I've been comparing the vocal extractions of this new site to the other tools. I don't think UVR/this new website does any better at extracting vocals than PhonicMind because lined up side by side with one on each channel, each have their own unique artefacts and PhonicMind has a better success rate at recognising backing vocals. This new one for instance has great difficulty with "Ooooooo" harmonies.

Also this new tool adds an unpleasant reverby quality to instrumental tracks that you don't get with Spleeter. But for splitting apart vocals, it's very useful.

Is anyone else having trouble registering?

I keep getting an error message saying "registration is not available from your IP"

Wish I could get access to the upgraded version!

X-minus will no longer let me into the site without registration.
When I go to register, it says that registration is not possible from my IP Address.
What are the dangers of logging into the site using Facebook?

Thanks -
Chip
