What I actually find most interesting about this recording is the family at the start. It's straight out of the era when the whole family gathered round the tv of an evening to watch shows like this.
Nowadays, you'd have the dad over on the sofa on his laptop doing all the work he brought home, the mother glancing up at the tv in between texts and Instagram posts, and the kids in their own rooms on their Playstations. The only viewer actually watching would be the dog.
It kind of makes me a little sad.
And reminds me I am living in the distant future, Two Thousand And Twenty Four.

Just spent 40 minutes, roughly, syncing it up to the old source! That was my first impression as well, it was a whole family event, felt like 1964, you hear a toddler singing along to Lennon's Twist & Shout! Very cool!Lord Reith wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 11:20 pm What I actually find most interesting about this recording is the family at the start.
