This should act as a reminder to all us ageing Beatlegers: make sure you get your six monthly check-up. Many life threatening illnesses show no obvious symptoms until it is too late. Don't be the guy who says "I never get sick!" only to drop dead one morning (and I literally knew people this has happened to). Anyone over 50 needs to keep regular check on their health. Simple blood tests your GP can do will spot signs of many of these diseases that can be treated early before they become something serious.
