LENNONPHILE - THE ALBUM THAT JOHN COULD NEVER RECORD

This is my first post downloading a cd here, so bear with me, please, if something is wrong.

Lennonphile was recorded years ago by a Spanish group called Los Escarabajos (=The Beetles). This is a limited edition released for a Spanish Beatles fan club.

This cd is great. The arrangements, guitars... the versions are very good. John is no more with us, his voice is missing, but no problem. His touch in these songs is still there.

I love the most The happy Rishikesh song, You saved my soul, She's a friend of Dorothy, Whatever happened to....... and Now and then too !!

Each time I remember that when John was shot dead in 1980 he had a record contract signed to release 8 LP's (no cd's invented yet) over the coming 5 years I'm sure some of these songs would have fitted more than well in some of them, along with other gems buried in the Lost Lennon Tapes stuff.

IMHO, Free as a bird, Real Love and Now and then are good songs but far from others like You saved my soul for example, featured in this cd.
The 3 above are a little bit sad, slow tempo, they don't have the punchy voice of John. Real Love is the best of the 3 for me.

Hope you'll enjoy it. The tagged CD + artwork. Click in Descargar (access to Google Drive)

I listened to this last night and was very impressed. Their rendition of "Now and Then" is the clearest demonstration of the tremendous potential in John's original bridge. It really should've been included in the official release and this proves it. Their decision to exclude it in the finished recording, for me, was the biggest mistake in the Beatles entire recorded legacy.

I recommend anyone who hasn't heard it to give it a listen. I'm genuinely curious what other Beatles fans think about it.

The more I listen to this disc the more amazing gets and the more I like it !!

It would be great with AI aid to make it with John's voice.

Anyway, for me, the magic is already present !!!
