Ingrid - short film

Post by Nimbus »

What was 'Ingrid', the 10 minute short film mentioned in the MMT 60 page booklet. I can't find any reference to it via a web search ?

I think this is about John's half-sister Ingrid Pedersen raised in Norway.

My copies of MMT all had 24 pages of cartoon junk!
The book doesn't even resemble the film.
At least the formal literary portion doesn't! I realize some of the photos were just frames of 16mm dumpster food!
So, I haven't read it since 1967! John Lennon had better copy in his pocket than the booklet.
Is this really the maiden voyage of the Zappitol Label?
It should have been. Make mine a 21 minute Flying and NO "Roll up! Roll up"! No booklet! No death clues! No MYSTERY!
B-side: The Long Linguini Fini Spaghetti Song(23 second tape loop "STOP! No STOP! STOP! No STOP! Glop Glop goo joob")
In a single sleeve with a generic photo of King Lear brand Parmesan Cheese! A ltd ed print of Jessie's shovel was to be included but Capitol refused to handle it. The caption said "Fork YOU!"
"I've got the kids, the car keys, the checkbook...my attorney will be in touch"
There is some left-over fish-n-chips on the original sleeve(under the parmesan).
No you're not sorry, said little Nicola!
Does Ingrid have the body of a 9 year old?
I haven't seen her!
A new low in GIMMICKY crap!

They blew it by NOT printing the first run in B&W(boxinG daY)

I can't help with Ingrid (and it is truly odd that there is more or less nothing about it online) but it continues to amaze me that the Beatles could hardly give MMT away in the US in 1968 (a year in which Herman's Hermits starred in 'Mrs Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter', a film in which Mrs Brown is a greyhound) or seemingly for some years after.

Was that true of other places? Was it originally broadcast outside the UK at all?

Who knows? I don't know INGRID!
I know...I don't know her still!
but if she's got the 'prellies' on her
then introduce us NOW...please(I WILL)!
Who Put The BOMP?
.....(waiting).....
The ONLY German national that I've ever known emigrated to the U.S.A. in 1945.
It was my friends mom...her name was Inge! And she had never even heard of Preludin!
So, I know it still might be a name from Grosse Freiheit!
Maybe Mal wrote of INGRID in the Beatles Monthly Book(The Preludin I Never Met story?).
I know I won't be be reading them...but, Mal did tell us about Get Back in 1969.
Did MAL really write stuff? He's the busiest of ALL the Beatles Troup members.
MMT DID resemble a FREAK show like Todd Browning's! Good God! What kind of Ovaltine is Evans being served?
Could he be getting it from Mrs. Murphy's same supplier!
Oooo! Where did he get that stuff?
Something in it is really rough! He never say much only lope around and
if it's news then you hear him sound the alarm on the farm for the glee
and then we can all say ALL-REEEeeeeeee can't you see we be never be free...
Ingrid WHO??? Southerland, Witherspoon AIN'T nobody know who you are!
I! N! G! I-N-G-...'I-N-G'..."I-N-G-Ahhhhhhh" Ahhhhhhaaaa...You got me floating
Was Hendrix with that siren at The Saville? What was her name? Martini And Rossi ON THE ROCKS!
I don't think she was old enough to be with the tour!
Some things are left unspoken
Some things are best not said
But this could be a public execution
so go right on ahead!
That had to be a fictitious entity created just to confuse...
LIKE the production crew has to park SOMEWHERE!
So, when they film at the vineyards across the highway...
It will have a dayglow sign "Parking INGRID" and a pathway of hazard cones to show where!
And it will never say "Sons Of Anarchy" or "The Mentalist" or "Guardian"...
Trailers, Catering, Moving Vans, Police Cars, etc are all here...in other words, STAY OUT!
And...NEVER is INGRID mentioned again...until the locals finally get tired of the paper sign and staples that NEVER gets taken down!
File Under: Little Nicola GO HOME! Tell your big sister that John Lennon said 'Hi'!
To be honest, there should be some imaginary nails on the bus! But I never saw any!
Let's ask Mal!
I'll get the monthlies!
Happy Mondays? It's Saturday!
Ovaltine-tine-tine-tine, ANYBODY?
KC

For The Record: Since, INGRID soundtrack is a Beatles Song...I hope it's not 'carnival-LONA'!

Intriguing; Ingrid Boulting has a web-site, perhaps some one could mail her?

from her site:

'I worked with some of the greatest photographers at the time, such as Richard Avedon and Norman Parkinson ( in whose books I appeared),David Bailey and Irving Penn and others.'

So there are some Beatles connections.
