I have corrected the thread title. Are you satisfied with this?
I used my time off to go to the store and buy this CD, rip it from the CD and share it with you for free. Complaining about it is not motivating for me.
I totally understand that. I don't want to discourage you from sharing. This may well be a better version than the other bootleg that was previously available, but I don't have that at hand so I can't tell. I'm sure many are thankful for your share and grateful to hear this version.
It's just a huge difference whether it's "from source tape" vs the same British library rip we already know.

Of course we are grateful!
But please, you and anyone else who shares, do not consider "examination" of the material as "criticism" of the poster...
You did a great service making an alternate version of this material available, and others are carefully examining it to see what it actually is. If it's just rehash (which these usually are), that does not reflect on you at all.
Why are some people convinced the hum is from A/C? That could be from the motor in the machine. Supposedly it isn't in the snippet that was shared when the tape was found but we don't know how that was recorded, etc.

It's not tape machine hum because it is noisy, not tonal/harmonic at all. It could be anything, but it is certainly an artifact of the process used to rip it at the British Library.

It sure can be frustrating when your good efforts get complaints but don't let that stop you. There are a lot of people here that appreciate your sharing.
