A new Beatles song

Post by beatlesbelmo »

We all know that "Now and Then" will be the next 'Beatles' song and that two songs were recorded using Lennon solo demos for The Anthology. My thinking is that Ringo, George and Paul should have recorded new songs using actual early Lennon demos. The one that specifically comes to my mind is "I'm In Love". That would have been so much better than the ones they chose.
Thoughts or comments or suggestions for what songs might have been better choices?
Awaiting your observations,
Belmo

I could have sworn that I heard a file somewhere, some time ago, of someone playing other instruments on top of "I'm In Love," to make it a full record, but I am not sure. It's not on my hard drives, but I'm sure someone has done it at least once. It's a great candidate.

As new songs are concerned, I still think about "All for love"...

And "Carnival of light", although it´s been a bit out of the talks lately.

As for the old demos, in my fantasy world maybe Paul and Ringo would think about professionally recording some of John´s demos from scratch.

This one. I don't remember who did it but it claimed that all the sounds are samples of other Beatles tracks.

Thanks for sharing! A vey clever idea, great use of Beatles samples as it were.

I give a "B" for overall execution due to the unnecessarily tinny "Free As A Bird" quality vocal and occasional out of time beats.

I can't resist but, this response is ULTRA mild compared to my real thoughts.
I figure that such a demo-fragment would've inspired a reunion in 1977 or earlier.
SO!
So....what?
"What"???
What is my function?
What does ARTificial really mean?
And, why isn't it ever obscene?
And...ALL 4 Beatles missed it???
If this doesn't end soon, someone's gonna be sorry. Ya know what I'm saying?
Do we really want that?
At this rate, it will be November before The Beatles decide to NOT break-up!
Their debut WE-NEVER-LEFT single will be called Got Back!
B-Side: John Lennon's original version of Freddy Boy that John abandoned when he received his MBE.
"I'm so cool, I couldn't possibly have parents!"
I hope this isn't leading to that "I don't like your tie" hash tag!
And, if you ever empty your cup,
please return to me and I will tell you what a ONCE valiant warrior you were!
...and, what it means to sacrifice everything for seven blurry years!
I will be here!
There were only four people that ever knew how Beatles Music is made!
Because if intelligence is artificial...maybe you want me to lie to you!
We have taken in much!
Like the waters of the Tao!
(ALL flow to the sea!)<-----(can only be compressed via Fairchild 660)
Please, be REAL!
Rilly groovy!
Thank you, Scott!

It's not as if the Crucifix was made of Nagra reels...
(Bri)INRI(Epstein)!!!
And the four wisemen...who knew that all is NOTHING in moderation
It's an eerie feeling I'm almost happy!
But SACRIFICE first!
They must sacrifice everything until they have emptied their hearts.
THAT key unlocks the EXIT!
BECAUSE when 4 wisemen tell you the same thing for seven years...and you remember...
The love you take...
is equal to...
NOW, you don't need anyone!
You know what to do!
Paint?
Blasphemy?
Holy Blood!
Immortality?
Reality!
More popular than forgiveness!
