As a fellow 52-year-old whose copy of Do You Want To Know A Secret also fell apart by 1990, I'll be glad to share what I have from your list.

I've got the same book, bought when it was new, and mine has ALSO fallen apart!

Fixing A Hole had much better binding, and has withstood the rigors of time.

I agree, although I've always thought it was because I didn't love it quite as much as 'Do You Want To Know A Secret'.
