They are quick listening copies done for the purpose of writing the Beatlegmania books, so don't have track indexing or click removal, but that will only add to the authenticity of the experience.
Thanks JCW, I was going to message you privately because I think I grabbed quite a few of the 70s era boots from the site you used to have and wondered if you had any more. No indexing or click removal required :)

The old boots in the 80s were such fun. Looking at the covers now, they seem a bit amateurish but back then they just seemed incredible. And they were still better than the sub-amateurish official rehashes we were getting.

I loved all the jokes the bootleggers would slip into the artwork. I looked at "A Paris" the other day, which is a gorgeous gatefold sleeve with a booklet. There's some phoney French on the back, stuff about "Les Beatles crepes suzettes" or something. Made me laugh. I always liked it when they tried to make the boots look like official releases, but slipped in stuff that only fans would understand. The back cover of "Not Guilty" had something about "Ex metallo virtutem" which was the Quarrybank motto. And the "Beatles At The Beeb" series had well done clones of the real BBC "transcriptions services" labels but reading "Beeb Transcription Records" instead.

I totally agree, and 'A Paris' and the original 'BEEB' series are great examples. Superb artwork. And while the contents of the 'Not Guilty' LP wasn't all that it could have been, I still think it has one of the best sleeves of all time.
