Is anyone familiar with X Media Recode
I have been using it succesfully in the last year or so, but recently when trying to convert a file to mkv using 'copy' mode while it say the operation is successful it it only converts the first second and also damages the original file.
I was trying to convert a webfile that wouldn't open in Nero for some basic editing
Any ideas would be useful, thanks in advance

The original file may be corrupt.

Quite possibly I suppose, bit it has happened a few times now with other files too. Maybe I'll just do a re-load of the program and see if that helps. Thank LR

Re: X Media Recode Problems
Try demuxing the file with another program like mp4muxer or TSmuxerGUI. If you can't split it into two streams without it being incomplete, then it's broken. And if it works, then you can just input the individual video and audio streams into Xmedia.journeyman wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 8:53 amQuite possibly I suppose, bit it has happened a few times now with other files too.
