Does the Dutch tv appearance by Freddie Lennon exist?
The Dutch seem to have been pretty good at preserving their tv. I'd love to be able to see him perform That's My Life on Dutch tv!

They have their own way of doing things over there!
Johnnie don't worry Freddie Boy's here. Fred be good...he would.
Moshpit DAMNED Hooligans!
And there's still time for Cricket!
Is there any presumption of a pre recorded backing?
No further questions...

These are 3 pictures taken during the TV show. Regrettably, there is no video or audio of the show in these archives.[flabbyroad] wrote: ↑Sun Jul 30, 2023 11:27 am

I have to add that like in many countries, the chance of an episode from a regular tv show from the 1960s surviving is incredibly small, most shows were recorded on expensive video tape that got reused. Also, like at the BBC, there were a few purges at the archives in Hilversum where a lot of interesting material got chucked out.
Here's one example of what an employee of KRO television picked out of the bin when a purge was done in the early 80s:

These are the pictures that survive of Freddie Lennon on Dutch TV:

Freddy was a guest in a popular talk show, 'Voor de vuist weg', presented by Willem Duys. They did an interview, and then Freddy sang 'It's My Life' in the studio. Legend has it that he actually sang it in Dutch. Freddie had spent much of his career working on ships and had visited the Netherlands several times, where he had picked up some Dutch words.
