BBC Dec. 26, 1963 with Rolf in stereo

I had just finished mixing from mono to four-stem stereo the BBC show hosted by Rolf Harris when I learned Harris had just died. Sadly, he apparently had a sordid past. But the Fabs performed brilliantly for the "From Us... " show he hosted, featuring Rolf's own claim the fame, "Tie Me Kangaroo Down," here with special lyrics for the occasion and Beatles' accompaniment. I created no art, but there is a pic of Rolf in the download if you desire. This is 11 tracks, counting the opening and closing of the show. Play loud and Rock on!

Kangaroo was going to be on bbc vol.2, but was removed at a very late stage due to harris's crimes coming to light, Harris was vile

I think that was just a rumour. All of Rolf's stuff is still available to buy and stream on spotify and wherever. The real reason I believe was simply that they didn't want any "guest artists" on a Beatles record. That would have entitled him to half or more of the royalties on that song... a not insubstantial amount. Much easier just to have an all-Beatles track and pocket the lot. Same with the pop go the beatles theme: the lorne gibson trio claimed that they played on it and so would have had to have been paid a cut. Apple don't like third parties.
