Tex's "Help!" album remixes

When I finish the whole album I'll put them all in one ZIP. I don't do art work or notes sorry. I haven't played a CD in 20+ years.

I already have "Your Got to Hide Your Love Away" as DVD stems in a work folder from 2015. I'd like to see if I can declip/decompress the stems they really compressed the hell out of them for the DVD.

"It's Only Love" will be very basic not much to improve.

Those are the only things left. I may dig into some outtake material and see if anything is worth adding.

I don't care for arts or CD, just all your selected best mixes for a complete album in a ZIP would be wonderful! I will look forward - thanks!

This mix turned out not much different than the official CD mix so it was a long way to get back to the beginning. The flutes at the end do have a little separation though and the whole mix is a little wider and vocals a little cleaner but it's not quite the obvious change I did with "Another Girl" and "The Night Before" posted on the previous page.

There are at least two DVD stem sources out there that are actually different. One has the basic backing track very loud and clear but it also has some weird issues sound quality issues. Maybe it was someone's poor attempt to OOPs or sync things. I used the OTHER basic track instead that had consistent quality sound and sounded much more like the record.

The one thing I've notice about the "Help!" sessions is just how poorly the bass guitar is recorded. It's literally just a mushy boom-y mess on most tracks. No wonder at the next sessions McCartney got a cleaner sounding bass guitar and started recording the bass AFTER the basic tracks.

I tried building a multi-track from the DVD stems (which have better sound) but it became such I mess trying to pull everything apart I had to abort. It's also missing the ending and there's like something out of sync during the guitar solo or they used the wrong take (track) not sure. In the end I just used the Anthology CD mix and flew in the less distorted vocals from the DVD stems. The Anthology CD mix is less dicked with even though it's a poorer sounding mix. Despite the digital hodge-podge it works and sounds good.

This mix has the drums in the middle, wider guitar/keyboard, cleaner vocals. I don't think the intro and outro belongs to this take but I kept them in. I originally uploaded with the intro removed and then realized people would be annoyed it was missing so I stuck it back on.
