I believe it's the real thing, here's a Discogs entry: https://www.discogs.com/release/6461358 ... -Co-Jaming

Thanks, but I'm unable expand the file with any app. Can someone please repost as FLAC?

Update: I had to fire up a Windows VM on my Mac to open it, that was weird ;-)

Wow, what a share! Definitely the real deal. Thanks so much! This is certainly the most interesting unofficial track to come into circulation in years.

Both your wav and flv files have gone through a lossy encoding step. Might be due to how you digitized the acetate?
I would offer to clean up the acetate crackles and distortion a bit, and having the lossless source would help a lot.

This is fascinating. A truly ‘new’ discovery that I had no idea existed. For what it’s worth, it sure sounds real to me. It also sounds very much like one of the ‘Apple Jams’. Do you have any other info on this recording?

Mike

This information about this acetate is from discogs.
Single sided Apple Records acetate of I Remember Jeep, recorded during sessions for Billy Preston's 'That's The Way God Planned It' LP at Apple Studios in 1969. One known copy from the collection of Ginger Baker.

The personnel on this session included George Harrison, Ginger Baker, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards and Richie Havens.

Credited as 'Jaming' by 'Billy Preston & Co' by an unknown engineer. Longer/alternate mix than appears on the 'All Things Must Pass' LP with no overdubs.
