Also, I have the Anthology laserdisc boxset and will be making a transfer of it very soon so stay tuned. I will also do a transfer of the VHS boxset. And just for the sake of overdoing it I have my eye on the television broadcast version on the bay.

The Laserdisc mixes should be the same as the VHS mixes.
The mixes were done AGAIN for the later DVD release.
A lot of the VHS/LD mixes are better than the later DVD mixes.

Has the Laserdisc film transfer ever been done? I could have sworn I had it but I can't seem to find it. I guess I never did.

I hate the DVD because it has ugly player-generated captions. The originals were in a very attractive font on the screen.
Peter Jackson had the same complaint about the recalled Get Back dvd. They had binned his burned-in captions and substituted player generated captions instead. He was not happy. Of course, that means the recalled dvds have clean footage!
