RODNEY BURKE BUYS IT!

Six years before he got the gig presenting Pop Go The Beatles, Canadian born Rodney Burke appeared in the hilariously awful TV series Last Of The Mohicans And Hawkeye in the States. In spite of employing a questionable French accent and donning some silly fake facial hair and hat, his voice is instantly recognisable, and it's nice to put a face to that voice.
Though he appears throughout the episode, I've included just a few minutes here including his death scene which neatly explains why he abandoned acting, fled the US and took a job as a BBC announcer. It reminds me a bit of a Monty Python sketch.
