When I think of guitar players that threw away the rule book and played deliberately, Jeff Beck is at the top of the list. This was a musician who never allowed fame and fortune to be his guide; he followed his muse. And he created some awesome music that only he could have done. His approach and his method on the guitar was uniquely identifiable. He was as capable of taking to the front of the stage as he was at blending into the background. He broke the mold.
There will be none like him ever.
And then there were two...
RIP Jeff Beck.
