Just read a rave review of Julian's 1998 album, and was prompted to check it out on YT. On first hearing, every track sounds great. This is one I could definitely get into.

How come I've never heard of it? Anyone else know this album, and what are your thoughts? It could be a minor classic!

He had a single from the album that included a mini poster of his Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds drawing.
The album is heavy on Beatles flavor. More than his other albums.
Julian also sings in praise of Cynthia's second husband as he was compassionate towards his stepson. Julian did receive critical guidance from the gent and so was not deprived of a father figure/role model! I believe Julian was hurt when the marriage failed.
I think the album is exceptional! I couldn't stand his first two albums. They got ample airplay in Los Angeles. The Photograph Smile...NONE!
You are not deceived. It's a very lost gem!

That as one of my favourite records at the time of release. I liked Day After Day, Crucified, and Faithful but the one I loved was It's Good to Be Lonely.
