I was doubtful that it was ever pressed in Japan. (But, this set is 'all inclusive' so did they press some for 'completeness' sake)

I have a (pricey) Popular Culture, Ink book on the best-sounding Beatles 45s - forgot its name, as it's of no use to me bought it long ago when I was a bit green - and as Japanese 45s did not always represented the best quality to the book's authors, the overall impression is, it was too much of a pain to gather the best-sounding material on vinyl. As of now, it's not such a huge task for CD buyers.

That publishing house published many Beatles books. I think they are the first to try to order everything produced both officially and illegally. I'm fond of them.
