This is a fantastic, well-researched book. I've just started reading it (I'm up to 6 January 1963) and I'm learning new things in each entry.
The eyewitness accounts add tremendous colour to it; it's just as if you were experiencing the thrill of going to see this new "successful Liverpool band with one hit record" yourself.
I'm really excited to know there so much more to discover in the pages to come, just as I was thirty years ago when I read Mark Lewisohn's "The Complete Beatles Chronicles" for the first time.

This is a really great book but I found an error regarding one of the shows in Northampton. It says they leap frogged down Abington Street to get to where they were staying, The Westone Hotel. Thing is, I heard they stayed one time at the Westone Hotel and another, at the Angel Hotel. The Angel Hotel is at the bottom of Abington Street. To get to the Westone Hotel they would have had to travel in the car, it's right out of town, at least a 40 minute walk the other way! So he's got the 2 hotels mixed up!
