Excuse my complete cluelessness, but I've tried uploading pictures for my profile avatar, but keep getting a message that the file is too big. I've tried editing it in windows photoviewer, but no matter how much I cut it down, it's still too large.
I don't want to look antisocial or shady or anything. I'm quite envious of Lord Reiths fabulous moptop wig!

Re: Avatar picture...How to?
It has to be smaller than 180 x 180 and under 25kb. I had trouble too but fortunately was able to lower the quality of the jpg so it would be small enough.
If you send me a png of your avatar I will fix it for you.

Re: Avatar picture...How to?
ay, thanks very much Lord Reith, I feel quite privileged to have some of your very valuable time, away from your work at The Beeb. I think I've sent that? Not a great one, but I'll improve it over time.

No I didn't get it. It'd be better to post it here using the attachment button at the bottom of the post.

This free site may help anyone looking to 'downsize' (file size / pixels) an image to use as an avatar.
https://www.img2go.com/resize-image
Hope it helps.

Only Audio, I uderstand, & learning some Video, but Photos, I'm lost

Re: Avatar picture...How to?
You can't enlarge the photo. You'll have to choose a photo where you're closer to the camera. Or you can crop that photo you have.
