This thread is headed 'High-Resolution Audio' yet the discussion seems 95% about surround sound...? Okay a lot of sources of 5:1 etc are also Hi-Res but the element you are enjoying and waxing lyrical about is the multi channel mixing. It would sound exactly the same in a 'standard' resolution like 16/44.
So shouldn't the thread be 'Multi-Channel Audio' ?

It just kinda morphed into Surround Sound.....do you know anything about ATS files or is that considered Surround Sound?
